Westdale Vintage is the passion project of Fayetteville native Michelle Clark and Jamil Rashad, the lead singer of the band Boulevard. The couple relocated from Raleigh to Fayetteville in 2023 to care for Michelle’s father full-time. Both Jamil and Michelle have been avid collectors of vintage treasures since their college years, driven by a shared appreciation for the stories and craftsmanship behind timeless pieces.

Michelle's journey into the vintage business began during her time as a full-time caregiver for her father. Unable to frequent her favorite out-of-town vintage stores, she started sourcing unique finds during her early mornings and lunch breaks. Her father delighted in the impromptu fashion shows Michelle would put on with her discoveries, sparking a deeper connection to the vintage lifestyle. Noticing the lack of vintage clothing stores in Fayetteville, Jamil and Michelle began hosting local pop-up shops, which were met with enthusiasm from the community.

Two weeks after Michelle's father passed away, a serendipitous opportunity arose when one of her favorite buildings in Fayetteville’s Haymount neighborhood became available. Inspired to honor her father’s memory and their shared family history, the couple decided to open Westdale Vintage at 1225 Fort Bragg Road.

Westdale Vintage offers a carefully curated selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s vintage clothing and accessories spanning the 1940s to Y2K. Jamil brings his expertise in denim, as well as his flair for music as a performer, sourcing high-quality jeans and jackets that stand the test of time, while Michelle’s love for the 1970s shines through in the store’s stunning dress collection. Together, they’ve created a space where the community can explore and celebrate fashion’s rich history.
